Ovarian cancer was considered to be a silent killer as it went undiagnosed until late stages. Since the disease has no early markers, hence detecting symptoms on regular pelvic examinations is the best way to catch it on time. Women that are diagnosed at the first stage of the disease are 9 percent curable.
The symptoms that women should consider as a warning sign include:
- Bloating, pelvic or abominal pain
- Difficulty of eating or feeling full quickly
- Frequent or urgent urination
These symptoms are felt daily over the course of several weeks - do not panic at the first indigestion you have. If they are new or unusual, women that feel these symptoms sould consult a gynecologist.
